Getting Started
How do I change my voice?
Open the app and start a new voice. Choose Record now (in-app mic) or import an audio clip from Files or Voice Memos. Pick a preset such as Deep, Robot, or Alien and the transform plays back instantly. From the result screen you can A/B compare, then save or share.
How does the A/B preview work?
Tap the Original / Transformed toggle to flip between your raw recording and the transformed version without re-processing. It's the fastest way to hear exactly what a preset is doing before you export.
What voices are included?
Fifteen in total. Deep, Helium, Robot, and Chipmunk are free forever. Premium adds Alien, Monster, Demon, Cartoon, Telephone, Megaphone, Echo/Cave, Radio, Whisper, and natural Masculine & Feminine shifts.
Recording & Importing
Can I change my voice on a live phone call or Discord?
No. iOS does not allow apps to inject audio into other apps' microphone input, so no on-device app can change your voice on live calls, FaceTime, Discord, or games. AI Voice Changer transforms recordings and imported clips, which you can then save and share.
What audio formats can I import and export?
You can import M4A, MP3, WAV, and AIFF, plus recordings from Voice Memos. Export is M4A on the free tier; Premium adds full-quality WAV.
The Masculine / Feminine voices sound natural — how?
Those presets use formant-preserving pitch shifting rather than a simple speed change, so the voice moves up or down without the cartoon "chipmunk" artifact. With Premium you can fine-tune pitch and formant independently, by the semitone.
Does it work on music or singing?
The processing is tuned for speech. It still works on singing, but results vary — strong effects can introduce artifacts on musical content.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. Every transform runs entirely on your device — on a plane, on the subway, anywhere. You can confirm by turning on Airplane Mode; transforms still work.

What's free vs Premium?
Free: 3 transforms per day, clips up to 30 seconds, 4 voices (Deep, Helium, Robot, Chipmunk), M4A export, with banner and interstitial ads. Premium: unlimited daily transforms, all 15 voices, semitone pitch & formant control, effect layering, custom saved voices, WAV export, and zero ads.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — the Premium Annual plan ($29.99/year) includes a 7-day free trial. You'll only be charged at the end of the trial. Cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings before the trial ends.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open Settings inside the app and tap "Restore Purchases". This re-applies your active subscription if you've previously purchased one on this Apple ID.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the iOS Settings app, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions. Find AI Voice Changer and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Privacy
Where do my recordings go?
They stay on your iPhone. The app does not upload audio to any server — every transform runs on-device. You can confirm by toggling Airplane Mode. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
What permissions does the app need?
Microphone (only when you tap Record), Files / Voice Memos access (only for the clip you pick), and Notifications (optional, for processing-complete alerts).
